Whom Do You Trust?

Business is being done on the strength of a tweet. So who do you trust? I became aware of the question of trust when @JaniceTomich posted a tweet about @hrbartender’s blog post Trust is not Blind Faith.

Building Your Social Media Profile on 30 Minutes a Day

One of the objections to using Social Media tools is that it takes too much time. This means two things; they don’t see the value in building an effective social media profile (they see it as a waste of time) and they don’t have a plan. How often have you thought you’d check twitter or linkedin or facebook for a couple of minutes and found 30 minutes or longer had passed and you don’t feel you’ve accomplished anything.

This method is used to build up your Social Media profile. Adding valuable contacts to your communities requires more than a utility that searches out “business coach” in the bio. Checking each contact builds a community consisting of your ideal client, leaders in your field, joint venture partners and your competition.

Adding Events to your Google Calendar from GMail

You can set up a meeting similar to Outlook using the GMail event function and Google Calendar Synch.

Windows Live Writer

I like WordPress 2.7. Being able to install plug-ins and upgrade to a new release from your blog’s admin panel is more than worth the time is takes to upgrade. The new look and feel takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s well designed information is where you expect it to be.

I’m still not a big fan of the actual blog post editor. The window is too small. I like to move things around and read what I’ve already written. I know you can use preview, but that distracts me. Creating your posts in Word creates formatting issues when you cut and paste the content into a WordPress edit window.
